Furnisure began out of the desire to give unwanted furniture a new lease of life, to preserve what has already been beautifully designed and created.
What we believe is important
Our Ethos
Furnisure was born out of the idea that conspicuous consumption needs to be re-evaluated. We believe that it's better to give a new life to something unloved rather than to produce something cold, clinical, cheap, and new.
We select our pieces with a few things in mind. Firstly, they must be made of high-quality materials that can stand the test of time. No cheap mass-produced stuff here.
Secondly, the pieces must have a solid design from the outset. Captivating design outlasts fads.
And lastly, we have to be able to imagine these pieces in people's homes or establishments, they are there to be used and functionality forms a huge part of how we pick our pieces.
Repurposing furniture is our little way of contributing to sustainability. We use non-toxic components in our upcycling process.
For the vast majority of our furniture, we take great care in our workshop to disassemble, repair, stain or paint and replace where needed to get these pieces back to their former glory.
